Matthew Hellauer put together a second and third place finish in the distance events of the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyles respectively. In the 500-yard, Hellauer was timed at 4:51.83 while in the 1,000-yard event, the Shelton, Conn. native came in at 10:08.09
