Richie Bonney led Hobart to three victories, averaging 31.3 ppg and 8.7 rpg. On Dec. 30, he netted a game-high 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds as the Statesmen cruised to a 74-59 victory over Hartwick. On Jan. 4, Hobart opened conference play with a 90-85 win at Rensselaer behind Bonney's seventh career double-double. He scored a career-high 40 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds helping the Statesmen rally from a 16-point deficit. Bonney's 40 points are the most in a game by a Hobart player since 1998. On Jan. 5, he led the Statesmen to another come-from-behind victory, hitting a pair of free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining in overtime to top Skidmore 67-66 and complete a 29-point, 7-rebound performance. During the three-game stretch, he shot 74.5 percent from the floor (38-51) and 70.8 percent from the free throw line (17-24). Bonney also had five assists, four steals and blocked two shots.
