Ithaca College senior outside hitter Gabriela Gonzales-Abreu and the No. 11 Bombers went 2-1 at the NYU Invitational over the weekend. Ithaca took down No. 5 MIT, 3-1, in the opening round, battling back after dropping the opening set, 25-10. The Bombers went on to hand Wentworth Institute of Technology a 3-0 loss on Saturday before falling to an NYU squad receiving votes in the national polls, 3-1. Gonzales-Abreu was a big contributor on the weekend, averaging 3.00 kills and 2.73 digs per set. She recorded 11 kills in the victory over MIT and 13 in the win over Wentworth.
