University of Rochester senior defender Cassidy Romano led the Yellowjackets to a pair of shutout victories this week, moving the team to 5-1 overall on the season. She helped Rochester win 4-0 over St. John Fisher on Wednesday and 1-0 against Susquehanna on Saturday, playing all 60 minutes in each contest. In the St. John Fisher win, the Yellowjacket defense held the Cardinals to just three shots (two on goal) and four penalty corners, with Romano adding her first goal of the season late in the third quarter to complete the scoring. On Saturday, Rochester’s defense again dominated, limiting Susquehanna to four shots (one on goal) and three corners.
