Skidmore College sophomore Derek Thomas put together a solid two rounds over the weekend at the Duke Nelson Invitational, where he finished in a tie for fourth and helped lead the Thoroughbreds to a second-place finish. The sophomore shot a 73 in the opening round on Saturday before rounding out the tournament with a 75 on Sunday. Thomas led the field with seven birdies on the weekend.
