Vassar College first-year player Elliotte Banziger had a strong opening week for the Brewers at the Vassar Scramble, going 4-0 in singles play and adding three more wins in doubles competition. Banziger defeated singles opponents from New Paltz (6-0), Connecticut College (6-2), Hamilton (7-5) and NYU (6-4). In doubles play, she teamed with Maddie Kirby for wins against New Paltz (6-1), Connecticut College (6-0), and NYU (6-2). The only loss for the duo was a close 6-4 defeat against Hamilton.
