Murphy had a terrific effort in the triple jump at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, placing third overall with a mark of 12.48 meters. The Rochester first-year broke the school record a total of three times at the national meet, jumping 12.21 meters in round two, 12.26 meters in round three and then leaping 12.48 meters in the sixth and final round of the competition to finish third overall.
