University of Rochester junior infielder Riley Laygo was named Most Outstanding Performer at the 2026 Liberty League Softball Championship over the weekend as the Yellowjackets claimed the league title with a 4-1 mark in the tournament. She hit .538 (7-for-13) with nine runs scored, two doubles, one home run and five RBI to lead the team at the plate. She added four walks for a .647 OBP, slugged .923 and added three stolen bases while going 30-for-30 in defensive chances. Laygo’s best game came in the tournament opener against St. Lawrence, when the junior went 2-for-3 with 3 runs, 3 RBI and a double and home run.
