William Smith College junior defender Janey Sypeck anchored the Herons' defense in a 10-5 win over sixth-ranked Washington and Lee on Saturday. She caused four turnovers and scooped up three ground balls against the Generals. Sypeck and the Herons limited Washington and Lee to a seaon-low five goals and 15 shots. The Generals had been averaging 15.13 goals per game entering the weekend. Sypeck leads the Herons with 40 caused turnovers and 37 ground balls. Sypeck is sixth on William Smith's single-season caused turnovers list.
