University of Rochester first-year athlete Lauren Murphy captured second place in the long jump and ran on the winning 4x400-meter relay on Friday afternoon at the RIT Bill Q Invitational. Murphy’s effort in the long jump was 5.61 meters, an AARTFC qualifier and ranks as the third best in the Liberty League this season. Murphy also was on Rochester's winning relay that posted a time of 3:48.63, the 11th-best time in Division III this season. The time also leads the Liberty League heading into this weekend's league championship.
