University of Rochester first-year athlete Lauren Murphy captured first place in the triple jump, her lone event, at the UR Alumni Invitational on Sunday afternoon. Murphy jumped 11.85 meters, qualifying for the AARTFC championship with that distance that ended up winning by over a full meter. That distance, in cold and rainy conditions, would rank third in the Liberty League this season (behind her own top mark) and top-15 in Division III.
