William Smith's second varsity eight powered by Michaela Greco, Olivia Helms, Lily Liftlander, Alessandra Gialanella, Paige Barnhart, Ainsley Kimball, Mariee Voss, Lily Keeefe and Olivia Sainsbury finished second in an eight-team field that featured four of the top 10 teams in the country on Saturday.  In the morning heats, the Herons 2V+ secured a spot in the grand final, finishing second with a time of 7:18.9. In the afternoon grand final, The Herons went head-to-head with No. 1 Trinity, No. 4 Wellesley, No. 8 Bates and No. 10 Hamilton. William Smith crossed the line second with a time of 7:30.6. They were just seven seconds off the pace set by the Bantams.
