William Smith College junior defender Janey Sypeck led the Heron defense this past week. The junior totaled eight caused turnovers and scooped up nine ground balls in two games. On Wednesday, she had four caused turnovers and a season-high five ground balls in an 18-5 victory over Ithaca. The Herons limited the Bombers to a season-low five goals and 13 shots in the victory. Sypeck followed that up with a four caused turnover and four ground ball performance in a 10-6 loss to No. 2 Wesleyan. Sypeck has had four or more caused turnovers in six games this eason. She leads the Herons with 33 CTOs and 32 ground balls this season.  She leads the Liberty League in caused turnovers per game (2.75).
