Vassar College senior outfielder Jensen Bergman put together a record-setting weekend for the Brewers to help lead the team to a 3-1 week, incluidng a division series victory (2-1) over Union. Bergman finished the week 12-for-17 (.706) at the plate with four extra base hits (2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run), 10 runs scored, 12 RBI, two stolen bases, two walks, and two HBP. Bergman posted a 4-for-5 day with three RBI, three runs scored and a double in a 22-8 victory over Old Westbury on Wednesday. In game one of Sunday's doubleheader against Union, the senior went 4-for-5 with four RBI, a run scored, a stolen base and a walk in a 15-5 run-rule win over the Garnet Chargers before hitting for the cycle in the nightcap behind a 4-for-5 effort with five RBI, five runs scored, a stolen base and a HBP. Bergman broke the program's all-time triples record in the second game of the doubleheader on the way to hitting for the program's first cycle. Bergman currently ranks second in the conference in batting average at .462, fifth in OPS at 1.334 and leads the conference in triples with four.
