Skidmore College first-year player Ege Topbas won his fifth and sixth singles matches in a row, and went 4-0 overall for the weekend, as the Thoroughbreds opened league play with victories over Hobart and RIT. Out of the No. 4 spot, Topbas took down Michael Georgelis of Hobart 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) on Saturday before a 6-0, 6-1 win over RIT’s Gabriel Escobar on Sunday. He also teamed up with Kyle Lundberg for 7-5 and 6-2 wins in doubles.
