Hobart College senior diver Daniel Barrientos represented the Statesmen at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships last week. Barrientos claimed first-team All-America honors on the 3-meter board after securing seventh place out of 24 divers on Wednesday. In the preliminary rounds, Barrientos earned an 11-dive score of 498.95 to take fifth place and avance to the Championship Final for the first time in his career. He went on to earn a six-dive score of 489.20 to finish seventh overall and secure his first career First Team All-America award. Barrientos also competed on the 1-meter board, finishing 20th with a score of 397.65. Barrientos' seventh place finish from the 3-mter was Hobart's best finish at nationals since Peter Taylor '92 finished sixth in 1990. Barrientos concludes his collegiate career as one of the most successful divers in school history.
