University of Rochester sophomore Emmett Hansen scored 4,863 points in the heptathlon, finishing in 16th place at the NCAA Division III Championships and earned second team All-America honors. Hansen set two personal-best marks during the seven-event competition, coming in the 60 meters (7.21 seconds) and shot put (10.98 meters). Additionally, he finished fourth among the multi-event competitors in the 1,000 meters (2:47.65) and was seventh in both the 60 meters and pole vault (4.25 meters).
