Haverford College junior Qianzhi Zhao was instrumental in leading No. 30 Haverford to its first Conroy Cup title in program history at the 2026 CSA Divisional Team Championships. Zhao posted a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend, competing across multiple flights and delivering key victories in each team match. In Sunday’s championship victory over No. 29 Connecticut College, Zhao clinched the decisive fifth team point at sixth flight. After dropping the opening game, he rallied with poise and control to earn an 8-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-4 triumph, officially securing the Conroy Cup for the Fords.
Earlier in the weekend, Zhao delivered a five-game comeback win against Vassar and rebounded from a first-game setback in a four-game victory over Fordham. He also earned a straight-game win in Haverford’s opening match against Hobart. His consistency, resilience in pressure moments, and championship-clinching performance were central to Haverford’s 4-0 divisional run and historic team title, the first Conroy Cup crown for the program and first divisional title overall since 2017 (Chaffee Cup).
