University of Rochester first-year athlete Lauren Murphy was named Liberty League Field Performer of the Meet as the Yellowjackets finished as the runner-up at the Liberty League Championship. Murphy won the triple jump in a meet record 11.88 meters and captured second place in the long jump with a 5.77 meter leap, a school record and 13th-best mark on the Division III performance list this season. Both jumps were regional qualifiers. Murphy also claimed an event win as part of UR’s 4x400 meter relay that set a facility record time of 3:52.97 and ranks 21st in Division III this season.
