Over the three game set against The College of New Jersey last weekend, where RIT went 2-1, graduate student Max Matteucci was steady at the plate for the Tigers. In Friday's season opener, he finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, one walk, and one run scored. In Saturday's doubleheader, Matteucci went 1-for-2 in the first game with a double and an RBI. He added two more hits and another RBI in the second game of the doubleheader.  Across the series, Matteucci totaled five hits in nine at-bats (.556 batting average), three doubles, two runs batted in, and one walk.
