St. Lawrence University first-year Mina Wasseem, had a strong outing at his first Liberty League Championship with a 2-1 weekend. He opened the tournament with a 3-0 victory against Hobart's Adam Le (11-6, 11-8, 11-6) at number one. He then dropped a match to Denison's No. 1 Juan Felipe Hernandez (9-11, 5-11, 7-11). In the Championship Match against Rochester on Sunday, he won a 3-2 (2-11, 11-7, 14-12, 16-14) match at number one. He was named the Most Outstanding Performer of the tournament as the Saints finished as the league's runner-up.
