Haverford College senior Aaryaman Jaising delivered a strong week at the top of the lineup for the Fords, who went 2-1 as a team. Against No. 14 Navy to open the week, Jaising took on Wenqing Tang in the No. 1 flight, battling through three competitive games against one of the nation’s top players. While Tang claimed the 3-0 decision (11-7, 11-8, 11-4), Jaising’s performance set a high standard to prepare for the weekend slate of games. Jaising responded emphatically on Saturday, anchoring Haverford’s 2-0 day against Liberty League foes. In the opener against Hobart, he outlasted Adam Le in a five-game marathon, opening with a 15-13 first-game win before closing the match with an 11-5 victory in the deciding fifth game for the 3-2 win (15-13, 11-8, 6-11, 8-11, 11-5). His composure in extended rallies proved pivotal in Haverford’s 8-1 win. He followed with a commanding 3-0 sweep over Matthew Okulski at the top flight against Vassar (11-3, 11-7, 11-5).
