University of Rochester first-year Gilberto Aceves Moreno was 1-1 on the weekend, playing the top spot on the ladder for the Yellowjackets. The rookie posted a five-game 3-2 win on Friday against Chatham’s Sebastian Vaca Sanchez (11-2, 7-11, 7-11, 11-4, 11-2), needing to rally and win the final two games of the match. Rochester upended #24 Chatham 7-2 that evening. Then on Sunday, Aceves Moreno battled #15 Navy’s number one, Wenqing Tang to four games  ultimately falling 3-1 (8-11, 4-11, 11-8, 8-11). Navy remains unbeaten on the season with the 7-2 team win against #19 Rochester.
