At the Vassar Round Robin last weekend, the Bard-Vassar match was tied up at 4-4, and the tiebreaker came down to Bard College first-year Essa Kyaw at the sixth spot in the lineup. She started strong, winning the first game 11-4. The second game got a little closer with the Brewers' #6 fighting back, but Kyaw stayed composed and won the second game 11-7. In the third game, Kyaw was on a roll and used a mixed variation of shots and strokes to win 11-2 for the 3-0 individual victory. Against Northeastern, Kyaw moved up to No. 4, falling to the Huskies 11-5, 11-5, 11-3 despite a good fight.
