University of Rochester junior linebacker Jack Diggins led a stout defensive effort for the Yellowjackets in a 23-3 win over Buffalo State on Saturday, picking up Rochester’s second straight Liberty League win. The junior linebacker led the team with 11 total tackles, including 5 solo stops and 0.5 TFL. He also added an interception which was returned 70 yards for the opening touchdown of the game. Diggins and the Rochester defense combined to hold the Bengals to just 213 yards of total offense (63 rush, 150 pass), including over 140 yards less through the air then they were averaging entering the contest.
