Universiy of Rochester sophomore Eddie Ren led the Yellowjackets at Carnegie Mellon's Tartan Invitational with a third-place showing among 87 golfers last Monday and Tuesday. Ren carded rounds of 2-under, (70), 5-over, (77) and even par 72 to finish with a 54-hole score of 219 (+3).  As a team, Rochester was third among 16 teams in the event. Rochester defated nine nationally-ranked schools in the field with a team score of 889, ending just three strokes behind event champion Huntingdon. For the event, Ren finished with 11 birdies and was a combined 6-under par on par-5s, both being second best in the field.
