The RPI doubles team of senior Nicole Ridenour and sophomore Anushka Jaiswal won the ITA Northeast Regional for the first time in school history this past weekend at Skidmore. Ridenour and Jaiswal dropped the first three games of the doubles final before rallying to win the next eight and defeat Skidmore 8-3. The comeback victory capped an impressive run through the draw that included a dominant 8-0 win over another Skidmore tandem in the second round, a quarterfinal triumph over top-seeded TCNJ (8-2), and a hard-fought 8-6 semifinal win over NYU. With the title, the duo qualified for the ITA Cup National Championship in October.
