William Smith College sophomore outside Emily Fulton had a standout weekend as the Herons went 3-0 at the Carnegie Mellon University Tournament, sweeping Muhlenberg, John Carroll and No. 22 Carnegie Mellon. The win over the Tartans was the first win over a ranked team in program history. On the weekend, Fulton averaged 4.22 kills per set, 0.56 service aces per set, 2.78 digs per set and 4.89 points per set, while hitting at a .357 clip. In Friday's sweep over the Mules, Fulton put down nine kills (.500), and added seven digs, two service aces and a block. She then followed that up with a team-leading 16 kills (.333), 11 digs, and one service ace performance against the Blue Streaks. It was her first double-double of the season. Fulton closed out the weekend with a 13-kill (.310), seven dig, two service ace and one block performance against Carnegie Mellon to secure the Herons' best win in program history.
