NYU senior Tiya Chowdary was selected MVP of the UAA Match Play Championship, which was held last Monday and Tuesday in Batavia, Ohio. Competing in match play against the top three teams in the nation (#1 Emory, #2 Carnegie Mellon, #3 Washington U),  she won all three of her matches as the Violets won the title by posting two wins and one tie. The Violets then competed at the NCAA Preview in Palm Desert, CA, on Saturday and Sunday. NYU finished third in the 15-team field, and Chowdary placed 35th in a field of 84 shooting +7 overall and +1 over Sunday's second round.
