Hobart College senior Nick Fischer had a strong opening weekend as he was crowned champion of the A flight singles bracket at the St. Lawrence Fall Classic. Fischer went 4-0 in singles play, defeating Ithaca's Gijs Fidler 8-3 before winning his quarterfinal match, 8-4. He topped Rochester's Kavin Shukla 8-5 in the semifinals before defeating teammate Jacob Linares 8-5 in the title match. Fischer added a 2-2 record in doubles play to add to his opening weekend resume.
