Union College first-year outside hitter Shea Ringel hit .389 with 47 kills (4.7 kills per set) on 90 attempts while adding 23 digs and two blocks in leading the Garnet Chargers to a 3-0 weekend. After starting off with 11 kills and six digs in a three-set sweep of Russell Sage on Friday, Ringel put down a team-leading 36 kills on .469 hitting in seven sets on Saturday, averaging over five kills per set. She went for 18 kills and a season-best 14 digs for her first collegiate double-double in a sweep of Mount St. Mary, then had 18 kills again later in the day in a 3-1 victory over SUNY New Paltz.
