Vassar opened the season with sweeps of SUNY Geneseo and Utica on Saturday at the Oneonta Red Dragon Invitational as junior outside hitter Maura McAusland led the way with 31 kills, 17 digs and two aces while hitting .481. McAusland buried 17 kills and hit .600 along with seven digs in the sweep of Geneseo followed by 14 kills (.379) and 10 digs in the win over Utica.
