William Smith College junior midfielder Delaney Cassidy had an impact on both ends of the field for the Herons on the opening weekend of the NCAA tournament. She had two goals, two ground balls, a caused turnover and nine draw controls on the weekend. Cassidy scored twice in the second half as the Herons rallied from an 8-5 deficit to defeat Amherst 13-11. Both of her goals came on free-position attempts and she is credited with the game-winning goal. Cassidy had a career-high seven draw controls in the win over the Mammoths.
