Union College first-year pitcher Carra Cleaves did not give up a run and struck out 12 batters in 11.0 innings last week, appearing in all four games and going 1-0 with two saves as the Garnet Chargers had a perfect 4-0 week. She struck out five in two innings of relief work against MCLA on Wednesday, earning a save in game one and closing out a lopsided second game as well. On Saturday against RIT, she struck out six in tossing a two-hit shutout in game one, then came back to throw a pair of scoreless innings in relief to earn the save in game two.
