University of Rochester senior Jordan Johnson had another strong week in the throwing events for the Yellowjackets across two home meets on the River Campus. On Monday at the UR Spring Twilight, Johnson finished as a triple-winner, capturing first place in the hammer throw, discus and javelin. His hammer throw mark was a school-record distance of 58.33 meters, the current 13th-best mark on the Division III performance list. Additionally, Johnson’s discus toss of 48.95 meters is top-30 in Division III, and the javelin throw of 53.97 meters is fifth best in the Liberty League. On Saturday at the UR Alumni Invitational, Johnson was runner-up in the hammer throw with a distance of 56.49 meters. All four marks were AARTFC qualifying performances during the week.
