University of Rochester senior Jordan Johnson had a solid opening meet to start the outdoor season, earning three top-3 results in throwing events at the Bill Q Invitational at SUNY Geneseo. Johnson won the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 55.43 meters, qualifying for the AARTFC meet while also ranking ninth in the early part of the outdoor season across Division III. Johnson’s runner-up performance in the discus was also a regional qualifier with a distance of 44.94 meters. He placed third in the javelin at 48.97 meters. Johnson’s marks in the discus and hammer throw are first in the Liberty League so far this outdoor season.
