Union College sophomore goalie Nick Lynch had two more stellar games against nationally ranked opposition for the Garnet Chargers last week, averaging 21.5 saves per game with a .651 save percentage. He registered 21 saves on Tuesday against #16 Middlebury, including 15 in the first half as Union was outshot 26-13 but went into halftime tied at five. He followed up with a career-best 22 saves in Union's 17-11 win over #9 Stevens on Saturday, again keeping the Garnet Chargers in the game early with eight first-quarter stops and making 13 over the middle two frames as the offense came around.
