Vassar College senior guard Tova Gelb led the Brewers to a 2-0 Liberty League weekend by averaging 23.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 steals and 4.0 steals per game. Gelb added a 17-for-19 effort from the free-throw line in victories over RPI and RIT. On Friday against RPI, Gelb posted a double-double and added seven assists and three steals as the Brewers outlasted the Engineers 58-57 in overtime. To close the weekend, Gelb had a career-day scoring a career-high 36 points, a Vassar single game record, including the 1,000th point of her career. Gelb went 11-for-17 from the field and 12-for-13 from the free-throw line in an 85-76 victory over RIT. Gelb finished the day with 10 more caroms, three assists and five steals for the Brewers.
