University of Rochester first-year athlete Austin Lansey got his rookie campaign off to a strong start, notching a pair of top-three results in both the long and triple jump Friday at the Nazareth Alumni Opener, both of which placed on the DIII Indoor Qualifying List. Lansey earned his top result in the triple jump, finishing second with a 14.01-meter leap, an AARTFC qualifier and the 10th-longest triple jump in Division III on the opening weekend. In the long jump, Lansey finished third with a 6.64 jump, currently the 49th-best leap in DIII. Lansey helped Rochester sweep the top three spots in the long jump, while the Yellowjackets took four of the top five spots on the podium in the triple jump.
