University of Rochester first-year Thomas Valderrama won two matches in the Yellowjackets' 1-1 opening weekend for the 2024-25 season at the #1 position on the ladder. The senior won 3-0 over Mero Elmarassy from #17 MIT on Saturday, helping the Yellowjackets to a 5-4 overall victory in the team match. On Sunday, Fadte won 3-1 over the number one player from 12th-ranked Dartmouth, William Aube, posting one of Rochester’s two wins in the 7-2 loss to the Big Green.
