William Smith College first-year defender Nell Dwyer played a key role in the Herons' defensive effort on the opening weekend of the NCAA tournament. Dwyer guided the Herons to wins over Penn State Harrisburg and Tufts.  Against the Lions, she scored the 2-1 game-winning goal; it was also her first collegiate goal.
