WPI senior defensive back John Perron spearheaded a defense that forced five turnovers as WPI knocked off Rensselaer 34-31, helping Worcester’s Engineers take home the Transit Trophy and notch consecutive victories in the series for the first time since 1995 and 1996. Perron snagged a pair of interceptions, recovered a fumble and shared in a tackle-for-loss while racking up five stops on the day.
