Ithaca College sophomore Samantha Bender helped the Bombers to a season-opening 207-92 victory over the University of Scranton. Bender won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:10.94, winning the event by four seconds over a Royals swimmer. She also won the 100-yard backstroke recording a time of 1:00.80 and was a part of both relay wins too.
