Hobart College junior diver Daniel Barrientos helped the Statesmen to a fourth-place finish in its season opener at the Hartwick Relay Meet. Barrientos placed first from both the 1- and 3-meter diving boards on Sunday. From the 1-meter board, Barrientos earned a score of 248.85 to claim first place. His score was 85.4 points higher than the second place finisher. From the 3-meter board, Barrientos won again. This time by 54.35 points as he earned a score of 229.75.
