For the second time in his three career starts, junior quarterback Nick Strang tied the Hobart record for touchdown passes in a game, leading the Statesmen to an impressive 56-20 win at St. John Fisher. Facing the No. 4 scoring defense in the nation, he torched the Cardinals' secondary, completing 20-of-29 passes for 266 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for a team-high 64 yards on five carries (12.8 yds/rush). Strang directed three straight scoring drives to give Hobart a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter. He led a fourth scoring drive just before halftime to send the Statesmen into the break with a 28-7 advantage. Strang led Hobart to the end zone three more times in the second half before taking a seat on the bench for the final 13 minutes. Heading into conference play, he leads the league in passing yards per game, pass efficiency, completion percentage, passing yards per attempt, and rushing yards per attempt.
