William Smith College junior outside hitter Malya Sayre led the Herons to a 3-0 record on the opening weekend. Sayre hit .361 (42-12-83) while averaging 4.67 kills and 2.56 digs per set in earning all-tournament team honors. In a 3-0 win over Geneseo, she had a team leading 21 kills along with four service aces.
