Univeristy of Rochester first-year Nora Chen enjoyed a strong performance at her first outdoor track and field nationals competition, posting two top-10 results for the Rochester women’s team at the 2024 NCAA NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship. The rookie was part of Rochester’s third place 4x400 meter relay squad with the group running a time of 3:45.40 in the finals, finishing in the top-six at outdoor NCAAs for the fourth straight season. The quartet earned First Team All-America honors. Individually, Chen secured ninth place overall in the 400 meter hurdles, clocking in at 1:02.06, missing a finals qualifying spot by 0.15 seconds, earning second team All-America recognition. Rochester’s women ended tied for 11th among 83 schools that recorded at least a point in the competition over the three days.
