Vassar College first-year Haley Schoenegge won the first Women's Track and Field National Champion honor for the Brewers since 2015 at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Schoenegge claimed the 1,500-meters National Champion title, where she led wire-to-wire in the event, crossing the finish line with a personal-best time and facility record time of 4:19.46, defeating the next closest finisher by nearly 10 seconds. Her time of 4:19.46 is the ninth fastest in Division III history at her first NCAA outdoor championship. Schoenegge also earned First Team All-America accolades in the 5000 meters with a fourth-place finish (16:55.41).
