University of Rochester junior Cole Goodman earned his first career national title and was a two-time First Team All-American for the Yellowjackets at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Division III Championships. The junior leapt to a Division III crown in the triple jump, posting a wire-to-wire victory, capping the competition with a school-record 15.76 meter jump. That mark is tied for sixth all-time in Division III history and is Rochester’s fourth-ever national title in men’s track and field; first in 35 tears. Earlier in the week, Goodman also earned seventh place in the long jump, posting a distance of 7.33 meters in that event for All-America first team honors. Overall in the team scoring, Goodman’s 12 points helped Rochester finish tied for 16th (12 points) among 86 schools that scored at the meet.
