University of Rochester first-year Riley Laygo mashed the ball in the Yellowjackets doubleheader sweep of Union on Saturday. She finished the two games with a .625 average (5-for-8) and six RBI. Laygo’s hits all went for extra bases as she smacked two doubles and three home runs to finish with 16 total bases and a 2.000 slugging percentage. The first-year also scored five runs and was 11-for-11 in fielding chances, including playing first base for the first time in the 2024 season.
